Miami Spice 2026: Anna’s Favorite Restaurants in Miami Beach and the Design District

Miami’s dining scene is one of the city’s greatest attractions, bringing together acclaimed chefs, international influences and settings that range from intimate neighborhood spots to glamorous oceanfront dining rooms. Miami Spice Restaurant Months offers an ideal opportunity to explore it all at special prices.

Celebrating its 25th anniversary, Miami Spice 2026 continues through September 30 with three-course brunch and lunch menus for $40, dinner menus for $50 or $65, and new Miami Spice Reserve selections starting at $95. Participating days and meal periods vary, making it important to review each offering before booking.

This year’s lineup spans communities throughout Greater Miami, but two areas stand out for their concentration of notable options: the Miami Design District and Miami Beach. Rather than attempt to cover every participating location, I’ve selected six places that offer a distinctive combination of cuisine, atmosphere and service.

Miami Design District

Known for its luxury boutiques, striking architecture and world-class art, the Miami Design District has also become one of the city’s leading culinary neighborhoods. Its dining scene includes MICHELIN-starred concepts, celebrated local institutions and restaurants from internationally recognized chefs.

COTE

COTE brings Korean barbecue and the classic American steakhouse together in a sleek, high-energy environment. Each table is centered around a smokeless grill, where expert staff prepare premium cuts alongside Korean accompaniments designed for sharing.

The concept has earned a MICHELIN star for its polished approach to steakhouse dining without losing the lively, communal spirit of Korean barbecue. It is an appealing choice for lunch with friends, a client outing or anyone looking for a fresh take on the traditional steakhouse.

Mother Wolf

Chef Evan Funke pays homage to Rome through handmade pastas, thin wood-fired pizzas and dishes rooted in the city’s culinary traditions. Signature selections draw inspiration from Roman classics, while seasonal ingredients keep the menu fresh.

The glamorous interiors are equally memorable, with Murano glass chandeliers, terrazzo floors, marble tables and a glass-walled pasta room where guests can watch the team at work. Mother Wolf is ideal for those who appreciate authentic Italian cooking paired with a dramatic atmosphere.

Michael’s Genuine

Michael’s Genuine has been a cornerstone of the Design District since chef Michael Schwartz opened it in 2006. Nearly two decades later, it remains a local staple, recognized for thoughtful sourcing, seasonal ingredients and food that feels refined without being overly formal.

The kitchen’s approach allows high-quality produce, seafood and meats to take center stage. Its welcoming dining room and relaxed energy make it just as fitting for an afternoon meal after shopping as it is for an evening out.

Miami Beach

Across the bay, Miami Beach offers an entirely different backdrop. From the polished streets of South of Fifth to the activity of Lincoln Road, the area combines exceptional food with the unmistakable energy of coastal living.

Estiatorio Milos

Located in South of Fifth, Estiatorio Milos is known for the simplicity and precision of Greek cuisine. Pristine seafood is displayed on ice for guests to view, reflecting the restaurant’s emphasis on freshness and careful preparation.

Whole fish, Mediterranean ingredients and clean flavors define the cooking, while the light-filled interiors create an elegant setting just moments from the ocean. It is an excellent choice for seafood lovers and those drawn to a sophisticated but understated meal.

Stubborn Seed

At Stubborn Seed, “Top Chef” winner Jeremy Ford takes a creative approach to seasonal ingredients, transforming them into artfully composed dishes with unexpected combinations. The restaurant holds both a MICHELIN star and a MICHELIN Green Star, recognizing its cooking as well as its commitment to sustainability.

Many ingredients are sourced from Ford’s own farm in Homestead, creating a close connection between what is grown locally and what arrives at the table. The intimate South of Fifth space is particularly well suited to a special evening or a closer look at one of Miami’s most inventive kitchens.

Andrés Carne de Res

Andrés Carne de Res brings the spirit of Colombia to Lincoln Road through bold dishes, vibrant interiors, music and entertainment. The concept is known for turning dinner into a celebration, with colorful décor and a lively atmosphere that carries into the evening.

Its menu reflects the generous, energetic character of the original Colombian institution, featuring grilled meats, traditional flavors and dishes made for sharing. This is the pick for groups and diners seeking a festive night that extends beyond the meal itself.
