High-end, Hong Kong-based restaurant Hutong boasts a colorful outpost in Miami. The filled-with-vibes restaurant offers classics like Peking duck, a recipe said to have been developed over one hundred years ago for the Emperor, and dumplings filled with everything from rose Champagne to prawn and black truffle. It’s also an excellent place for solid cocktails and top-notch people-watching.

This Brickell institution has returned to the neighborhood just a block from its original location. Expect the same seafood-centric fare as its gnocchi tossed with crab and truffle, grilled fish, spicy tuna tartare, and plenty of its namesake oysters.

This cafe, catty-cornered across Brickell City Centre, masters breakfast, brunch, and lunch with grace. With a thoughtful mix of sweet and savory offerings like pastelito pancakes, Nutella cheesecake, and brussels sprout Caesar salad, a meal here is as innocent or indulgent as one’s willpower allows. 

Stanzione 87 has been serving up certified Neapolitan pizza in Miami well before it became a “trendy” thing to do. It creates unique pies in a very traditional Italian way, topped with ingredients like speck, burrata, broccoli rabe, and smoked mozzarella. 

The latest very buzzy restaurant from David Grutman and superstar Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny combines Japanese dishes with steakhouse fare in the heart of Brickell. The sleek vibe-y jewel-toned space serves up decadent dishes like “Lava and Ice” Kumamoto oysters, lobster dumplings, and olive-fed filet mignon from Japan, alongside over-the-top cocktails. Dress to impress — and expect plenty of celeb spotting while doing so.

This Canadian import in the heart of Mary Brickell Village offers up an extensive menu, a popular happy hour filled with plenty of people watching, and more than 20 TVs showing every sporting event one might want to watch. The menu runs the gamut from the typical sports bar fare like nachos and burgers to more refined options like chipotle mango chicken, shrimp tacos, and spicy tuna rolls, but needless to say, there is something for everyone.

La Mar by Gaston Acurio offers a combo of well-executed upscale novo-Andean fare and Asian-Peruvian fusion dishes with some of the best views in town. Think classics like lomo saltado, local offerings like yellowtail snapper, and several ceviche options.

While Mary Brickell Village has seen its share of rotating restaurants, North Italia brings a lively vibe to the shopping hub. Interesting take on Italian flavors like white truffle garlic bread, fig and goat cheese pizza, and a braised meatball sandwich make the expansive venue as appealing to families as it is to the happy hour crew. 

Major Food Group’s opulent and purposely over-the-top steakhouse, Dirty French Steakhouse, might be a New York City import, but this location is distinctly Miami. From the orange velvet-lined walls, animal print seating, Murano glass leaf chandelier, and gold leaf ceiling, the space oozes 80s excess. Guests can expect to dine on prime-aged steaks alongside mushroom millefeuille, lobster ravioli, crab cake croustillant, wedge salad, and caviar vichyssoise.

Zeru, the popular Basque cuisine restaurant from Mexico City, has opened its first location in the United States in Brickell. The restaurant draws inspiration from San Sebastian’s coastal city, with specialties like roasted seasonal whole fish and Socarrat dishes featuring slightly caramelized rice from the paella pan mixed with king crab and Japanese Kobe striploin. Zeru Miami features a contemporary dining room with earthy materials and a white and blue palette, leading to an outdoor terrace surrounded by vegetation. 

This sexy South American Nikkei import serves an expansive menu with items like nigiri sushi, wasabi ceviche, omakase platters, and larger dishes like bone-in ribeye, seafood rice skillets, wagyu skirt steak, plus an extensive cocktail menu and see-and-be-seen atmosphere.

After a decade in business, Edge Steak & Bar has gone through a revamp, including a new name and new menu. Still helmed by executive chef Aaron Brooks, the restaurant isn’t as meat-focused as it once was offering a more diverse menu with a variety of seafood, steak, and lamb dishes. For starters, try the wagyu steak tartare, roasted oysters, or the seafood plateau. For entrees, the chard cauliflower, half roast chicken, or the grilled Rohan duck are all popular choices. And for dessert, the pavlova, blueberry cobbler, or the guava cheesecake are highlights.
